The Institute of Journalism and Social Communication at the University of Wroclaw and European Association of Media Education are pleased to invite European PhD students for the inter- and multi-disciplinary seminar on new media, new media methodology and research methods.
The seminar aims to establish a dialogue between PhD candidates from a variety of academic disciplines in order to explore the phenomenon of new media and exchange various research experiences. What is new in new media? What is new in new media studies?
The seminar will be held on 17th November.
There is no conference fee for invited guests. Foreign participants will be offered free accommodation from 16th to 18th November. The organizers will not cover the cost of travel and meals.

• closing date of submission: DEADLINE EXTENDED: 14th June 2009
• notification of acceptance of abstracts: 26th June
• publication of schedule of the meeting: 6th July
• 17th November – seminar in Wroclaw

Please send your abstract for a 30 minute presentation to organizers: newmedia@onet.eu
Presentations may take form of papers, readings and multimedia presentations.
Abstracts may be in Word or RTF formats, following this order:
a) author(s), b) affiliation, c) email address, d) title of abstract, e) keywords, f) body of abstract (max. 200 words), g) technical requirements for the presentation, h) special needs.
